Your Session Time Includes:
For our hour massage sessions your time includes 5-10minutes of consultation and 50minutes of hands-on time.  This
is standard practice throughout the massage industry.  We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early for additional
consult time and record updates if needed.

If you haven't had much experience with massage therapy, you might be wondering what to expect:  first and
foremost, the massage therapist needs to make sure there aren't any conditions or health risks present that could rule
out having a massage.  Second, the massage therapist needs to know what your needs and goals are regarding the
massage so we can meet your expectations for the session.  Third, the information you provide helps the massage
therapist determine what techniques to use and how to structure the session.

After discussing your needs, the therapist will leave the room to provide privacy while you disrobe. You should take
off only as much as you are comfortable removing. At this time, you should also remove jewelry or other articles that
may interfere with the massage. After disrobing you will lie flat on the massage table covering yourself with the sheet.
The sheet is provided for draping during the massage and the therapist will uncover only the part of the body being
massaged, ensuring that modesty is respected at all times. Draping also keeps the person receiving the massage warm.
You may ask for additional coverage if you tend to be cold natured. You will be asked to silence your cell phone for
optimal relaxation. The massage takes place on a comfortable, padded and heated massage table. The massage
therapist will tell you what position to lie on the table. The table may have some extra attachments or cushions, such as
a face rest (which allows you to lie in a face down position without turning your head and neck). If you don't like using
any attachments, ask the massage therapist to remove them.  Expect a peaceful and comfortable environment for the
massage.

The massage therapist may play music during the massage. Some people find music to be more relaxing. If you prefer a
completely quiet environment, ask the therapist to turn the music off. The lights will be dimmed during the session.
The key to obtaining your goals during a massage is communication. Let the therapist know if you are in need of
general relaxation, stress reduction or if there are specific areas needing attention.

After the massage is finished, you will once again be provided with privacy in order to get dressed.

The usual length of a session is an hour, but may be as short as fifteen minutes or as long as ninety.
